Data Protection and Your Rights

Last updated 14 October 2026Version 2026-10

1.Who is responsible for what

Rexta Technologies runs Job Central and is responsible for the personal data we collect to operate accounts and the platform. When you apply, the organization that receives your application becomes responsible for how it handles that applicant data. If you want an organization to delete or correct an application it holds, you can also write to that organization, and we can help you reach it.

Paystack is responsible for the card details an organization enters on its checkout page. Job Central never receives full card numbers or security codes.

2.What you can do yourself

  • Edit your details: open your profile and change anything. Changes save automatically.
  • Choose what is public: set the visibility of your phone number, email address, salary expectation, and links, or unpublish your profile.
  • Withdraw an application from its page.
  • Delete your account in settings. This erases your personal data and files. Applications you already sent stay with the organization in anonymized form.
  • Change your cookie choices with the Manage cookies button.
  • Download a PDF copy of everything we hold about your account from settings, under Privacy and data. For organizations it includes your plan, saved cards (brand and last four digits only), and invoices.
  • Clear your chat with Zoe from the chat window at any time.
  • Organizations can remove saved cards and turn off auto-renew from Settings, under Plan.

3.If you are listed on a company page

Organizations can list their people on a public company page. The organization is responsible for having each person's agreement. If you are listed and want to be removed, ask the organization, or write to us through the contact page with the company name and your name. We verify the request and remove the listing and any photo we hold.

4.Making a request

For access, a copy of your data, correction we cannot do for you, restriction, objection, or human review of an automated result, write to hello@jobcentral.com or use the contact form and choose the topic "Data and privacy request". Say what you want and which email address your account uses.

We aim to reply within 30 days. If a request is complex, we may need more time, and we will tell you why.

5.How we check it is you

We verify requests so that nobody can get your data by pretending to be you. For most requests we will ask you to reply from the email address on your account. For sensitive requests we may ask for one extra confirmation. We will not ask for more than we need.

6.If something goes wrong

If a personal data breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission without undue delay and within the time the law requires. We will explain what happened, what data was involved, and what you can do.

7.Complaints

We would like the chance to fix a problem first, so please contact us. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
