Question 1

What is Job Central?

Accepted Answer

Job Central is a hiring platform. Candidates build one profile, search open roles, apply with a clear form, and follow every step. Organizations post roles, review applicants in one place, schedule interviews, and decide who to hire.

Question 2

Who is Job Central for?

Accepted Answer

People looking for work, and the organizations hiring them. Candidates and organizations each have their own account and their own dashboard.

Question 3

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Candidates never pay, at any point. Organizations start on the Starter plan with one active posting, and can move to a paid plan for more postings and extra tools. Plans and prices are on the Pricing page.

Question 4

Can I use Google to sign up?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as a candidate or an organization. Each account uses one sign-in method. If you sign up with Google, keep using Google. If you sign up with email and password, keep using that.

Question 5

Can a company have more than one account?

Accepted Answer

No. Each organization has one account, and every email address can belong to only one account.

Question 6

Who sees my profile?

Accepted Answer

Your profile is private until you publish it. Organizations you apply to see a copy of your profile from the moment you apply. If you publish a public profile, anyone with the link can view it, and you choose which details are shown.

Question 7

How does matching work?

Accepted Answer

Job Central compares your skills, experience, work preferences, and location with what a role asks for. Roles that fit well show a trophy icon, and the reasons are listed in plain words.

Question 8

Which resume formats can I upload?

Accepted Answer

PDF and DOCX, up to 5 MB. We read the file to fill in your profile and application, and you review everything before it is saved.

Question 9

Can I withdraw an application or delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can withdraw an application from its page at any time. You can delete your account from settings, which erases your personal data and files.

Question 10

Does a ranking decide who gets hired?

Accepted Answer

No. Rankings are advisory and come with reasons. Organizations review applicants and make every hiring decision themselves.

Question 11

Can I edit a job after it is published?

Accepted Answer

No. Organizations review a full preview before publishing, so what candidates see is final. You can pause a job, extend its expiry date, close it, or duplicate it as a new draft.

Question 12

What happens when a job expires?

Accepted Answer

It leaves search, and its page stays up marked as Expired, with applying turned off. Applications that were already submitted stay visible to the candidate and the organization.

Question 13

How do interview times work across time zones?

Accepted Answer

The organization picks a time in its own time zone. You see it converted to yours, in 12-hour format, in the email and on your dashboard.

Question 14

Do candidates ever pay?

Accepted Answer

No, never. Plans apply to organizations only.

Question 15

Which currencies and payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Plans are billed in Nigerian naira (NGN) or US dollars (USD), by debit or credit card only. Card payments are handled by Paystack. Salaries on job postings can still be shown in any currency.

Question 16

How does renewal work?

Accepted Answer

A paid plan is billed in advance and renews automatically at the end of each month or year, using your default card. We email you 3 days before each renewal.

Question 17

How do I turn off auto-renew?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings, open the Plan tab, and switch off auto-renew. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to the Starter plan.

Question 18

What happens if a payment fails?

Accepted Answer

We try your cards again over the next few days and email you each time. You can add or change a card from the Plan tab. If every attempt fails, your account moves to the Starter plan. Postings that are already live stay up until they expire.

Question 19

How do I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

If you think a charge is wrong, write to us from the email on your account and we will look into it. Our refund terms are in the Terms of Service, under Plans and payment.

Question 20

How is my data handled?

Accepted Answer

We collect only what is needed to run your account, applications, and interviews. Read the Privacy Policy and the Data Protection page for the details and for how to use your rights.
