Terms of Service

Last updated 14 October 2026Version 2026-10

1.Acceptance and eligibility

These terms are an agreement between you and Rexta Technologies, the operator of Job Central. By creating an account or using the service you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use Job Central for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to act for it.

2.Accounts

  • Every email address can belong to one account only.
  • Each organization has one account.
  • An account uses one sign-in method for as long as it exists: a password, or Google.
  • Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you think your account was accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.

3.If you are a candidate

  • Your profile, resume, and answers must be accurate and must not mislead.
  • Upload only documents you have the right to share.
  • You may publish a public profile when it is complete, and you can unpublish it at any time.
  • You can withdraw an application at any time. You can delete your account in settings.

4.If you are an organization

  • Post only real roles that you are authorized to fill.
  • Postings must be lawful and non-discriminatory.
  • Never charge candidates a fee for applying, interviewing, or being hired through Job Central.
  • Keep your company details accurate.
  • Treat applicant data fairly and lawfully, and use it only for hiring. Once you receive an application you are responsible for how you handle that applicant's data.

5.Listing people on a company page

If you list other people on your public company page, you confirm that each person agreed to be listed with their name, role, and photo, and that you will remove them promptly when they ask. You are responsible for that listing. Listed people do not get access to your account.

We may remove a listing that we believe was added without the person's agreement, or that is false or harmful.

6.How jobs work

  • A job needs an expiry date in the future. Expiry is measured at the end of that day in the organization's time zone.
  • A published job cannot be edited. Organizations review a full preview first. You can pause a job, extend its expiry, close it, or duplicate it as a new draft.
  • Expired, paused, and closed jobs are removed from search. Applications already submitted stay visible to the candidate and the organization.

7.Applications and interviews

Organizations decide whether to reject, shortlist, interview, or hire. Interview times are set in the organization's time zone and shown to you converted to yours. Job Central does not guarantee that any application, interview, or offer will result.

8.Automated matching and ranking

Match scores and shortlists are advisory tools. They may be wrong or incomplete. They do not replace the judgment of the people involved, and every hiring decision is made by the organization.

9.Zoe, the site assistant

Zoe answers questions about Job Central and, when you are signed in, about your own account, such as your applications, postings, and interviews. Her answers can be incomplete or wrong, so check anything important on the page it refers to. Zoe never applies, hires, rejects, pays, or sends messages for you.

Candidates and visitors can always use Zoe. For organizations, Zoe comes with the Growth and Scale plans.

10.Job Central is a platform

Job Central is not an employer, recruiter, or employment agency. We are not a party to any employment relationship between a candidate and an organization, and we do not check every posting or profile. Deal with others carefully, and report anything suspicious.

11.Plans and payment

Candidates are never charged for using Job Central.

Organizations may use the Starter plan or a paid plan. What each plan includes and what it costs is shown on the Pricing page and in your account settings.

  • Paid plans are billed in advance, in Nigerian naira (NGN) or US dollars (USD), to a card you save with our payment provider, Paystack. The currency is set the first time you pay and stays the same for every later renewal, upgrade, and card, even after a move back to the Starter plan.
  • Each plan sets limits, such as how many postings can be live at the same time and whether the AI shortlist and Zoe are included. If you move to a smaller plan, postings that are already live stay up until they expire.
  • You can save more than one card and choose which one is the default. Renewals charge the default card first, then your other cards.
  • A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, and the card is charged again, until you turn auto-renew off. We email you before each renewal.
  • If you turn auto-renew off, you keep the paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Your account then moves to the Starter plan.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we try again over the following few days and email you each time. If it still fails, your account moves to the Starter plan. Postings that are already live stay up until they expire.
  • If you move to a smaller plan, the change applies at the end of the current period. If you move to a bigger plan, it starts straight away and a new period begins.
  • Refunds: payments are not refundable for periods that have started, except where the law requires it or where we charged you in error. If you think a charge is wrong, write to us within 30 days and we will review it.
  • Prices may change. We will tell you before a new price applies, and it applies from your next renewal. You can turn off auto-renew before then.
  • Prices include any taxes that we are required to charge, unless the price says otherwise.

Job Central never receives or stores your full card number or security code. Paystack processes card payments under its own terms.

12.Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload or write. You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, and display it only as needed to run the service for you, including showing it to organizations you apply to and displaying a profile you publish. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for anonymized application records and copies we must keep by law.

13.Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no fake jobs, no discrimination, no harassment, no scraping, no abuse of the service.

14.Our intellectual property

The Job Central name, logo, software, and design belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service as allowed here, but you may not copy, modify, or resell it.

15.Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used unlawfully. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time. Candidates can delete their account in settings, which erases personal data and files as described in the Privacy Policy.

After an account is deleted, its email address cannot open a new account for 14 days. Any paid plan is cancelled and saved cards are removed when an organization account is deleted.

16.Third-party services and links

The service works with third parties, such as Google sign-in and Paystack for card payments, and may link to other sites. Their terms and policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.

17.Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or suitable for your particular purpose, or that any posting, profile, or match is accurate.

18.Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Job Central is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, or lost profits, or for what users post or do. Our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and NGN 50,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

19.Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable losses we suffer because you broke these terms or the law, or because of content you posted, to the extent the law allows.

20.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve a dispute informally. If that does not work, the courts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

21.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date and version at the top show the latest update. If a change is significant, we will tell you before it applies, and you may need to accept it again to keep using the service.
